I currently work full-time at a pediatric hospital in Columbus as a Child Life Specialist and am looking to relocate to Dayton Ohio to be back in my hometown and closer to family. My bachelor's and master's degree cover many different aspects of developing infants, toddlers, school-age, and adolescent children and their families. A child life specialist helps normalize the hospitalization experience for children and families and provides specific services that include preparations for medical procedures, coping skills for children during stressful healthcare experiences, support for siblings and parents, therapeutic medical play, and planning and implementing activities to enhance growth and development. I have been a babysitter/nanny for more than 10 years and have three years of experience in a professional daycare. I have cared for triplets, twins, and was a full-time live-in nanny in 2020.
