Thank you for taking a look at my profile! My name is Kaylee. I have a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and over 10 years of professional experience with children. I have worked first hand with children who are 10 years old, 10 months old, & everything in between! Some of that experience was in the classroom while some took place in private homes. At one time, I taught professional rescuer CPR and Lifeguarding courses- but I no longer hold those certifications. I am; however, CPR, First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens certified. Outside of my experiences with children I have worked in restaurants as a cook and a server. I am very comfortable in the kitchen and will gladly help with any other tasks around the house! I am a firm believer that children are the leaders of their learning. By practicing active listening and offering gentle guidance, Read more anything can become a learning experience! I love to incorporate small opportunities for growth into daily activities; such as: making breakfast, going for a walk, playing with toys, etc. Art is a big part of my teaching philosophy as well and I am not afraid of a mess! (But will always make sure it is thoroughly cleaned afterwards.) Ideally I would love to be able to go to the park, go for walks, and do other activities involving nature! I have a small chihuahua puppy who I would love to bring with me when I am providing care but, of course, would be up to discussion.
