I’m currently a part-time graduate student (studying planning at UC), and I work full-time at the university in academic affairs (managing 2 academic support programs). My fiancé is currently in medical school, and we’re in full wedding planning mode (for our February wedding!). With his schedule heating up and my course work getting more intense (with a co-op with the city’s economic development division), I’m looking to transition to a part-time nannying position. Previously, I was an elementary school teacher with Teach For America, and I’m super close with my sister who has 5 kids under 8 (adopted and biological!). I love kids, and I find relational work so rewarding! (Nannying was definitely one of the best parts of my college experience in undergrad at Boston College! It was so wonderful to grow close to families especially when my own was so far away.) This semester, I would be available Read more all day, 3 days a week (Tuesday/Thursday/Friday), but that could change next semester based on course offerings and times. I have class until 1:40 on Mondays and Wednesdays, but am free after. Ideally, I’d love to start early/mid-September. I’m looking to stay with a family at least through the academic year (with a definite interest in full-time summer work).
