Hi, my name is Teryk Darks. I’m 23 years old, I love video games, reading, photography (I have my own photography business) music of all kinds ( I play guitar in my spare time) and I’ve work in childcare at my current position for nearly 8 months with 9 years experience in babysitting. I have a 4 year old daughter and brand new 2 month old son and I love them dearly! My baby sitting experience really begins at 14 when my oldest sister had her son. While she went to school, I was in charge of watching him while also getting my own homework finished, as I was homeschooled. My other 2 sisters followed along and had boys of their own, which I also have taken care of. At 17, I got my first job at the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, where being involved in the Read more community, mainly the youth that were there was a major plus to them, being so young, I was able to relate to the youth there, and even hosted my own programs involving teens and Children. Working at the library also gave me connections to work with other people with children who have non-profits or for-profit children’s organizations. I’ve even been asked to watch their children from time to time. Wanting to actually teach and educate children, I found my way to ChildTime in February and make myself a Teacher in a Pre-K class, then working with Toddlers, Infants, and Early Preschool with certifications in Adult//Children CPR, First Aid and AED, and plenty in education and child care through the state of Ohio. I now am a Lead Teacher there for the Early Preschool at ChildTime.
