Hello! My name is Citrus, i am 20 years old and I grew up on an off grid homestead and spent many years working with the various kids that stayed with us; caring for and teaching them inspired me to want to pursue childcare and education as a career. I've spent time working with scouting troops and did long term care with kids of essential workers during early quarantine, and I recently finished working as a lead educator for a children's summer camp at a local farm. In this role, I taught children about sustainable farming, foraging, animal care and identification, crafting with natural materials i.e. ink making, basket weaving, and many other activities. At summer camp I worked primarily with 4-5 year olds, but often would work with the other age groups as well. After working with large groups of children this summer, I am now pursuing more individualized Read more work in order to focus on child lead/personal interest based activities and continue sharing my skills with children and families who enjoy outdoor/explorative play and hands on activities. I am CPR and BLS certified and have done several months of medical training.
