Hi there! I am a mother to a wonderful, 12-year-old daughter. I started sitting at the age of 11. I received a certificate in Early Childhood Development and studied at Glen Oaks College for Social Work, where I spent time working for the state of Michigan doing CPS work and caring for children in the system, before moving to New York. Since caring for children has been my passion since I was a little girl, I am now working towards a degree in Child Psychology that I intend on using to further my career working with children or working in research to help the world understand how we care for our children. I tried Daycare work for a couple of years, but I found it was not for me, mostly because I believed I could make a stronger difference working with children in a more on-one, family-oriented environment, so I Read more began nanny work, where I cared for multiple families over that time with children of multiple ages and needs. My previous position was with a family of 5 children, one with special needs. My most recent employment with a family was caring for an infant until his family was blessed with a baby, and the mother decided to stay home with both children. So now I'm just excited to find the next family to be able to help and nurture their children! I am EXTREMELY flexible when it comes to availability so not everything it shows in my profile is extremely accurate. I am also flexible when it comes to pay and base my rates on each individual family's needs and the type of job. I babysat, tutored, embraced housework, school help, and anything else to help families! We are a team, after all! I have been trained to teach children of all ages, but also know that each child is different, but all children need fun and love to thrive. I enjoy working with families that believe a caregiver is part of the family and enjoy working together to help the children prosper and grow to the best of their abilities. I will care for your children as if they are my own. Parents must be a good much for each other as well as the caregiver being a great match for the children. I hope to hear from you soon and helpfully we can be the best team people for our future adults. That's why I love this job. I believe Creating healthy (emotionally, physically, and emotionally) children is what creates thriving and successful adults, and I love being able to be a part of that process. I hope to hear from you and hope I can make a positive difference in your family lives!
