I have been working with all different age children since I was 14 years old. I have watched children from new born to 12 years old and love each and every age in between. For the past two summers I have worked with a 9 year old girl with cerebral palsy, Monday to Friday from 8 to 4. Part of the job entails heavy lifting, help with the bathroom, making meals, driving to doctors appointments, and overall making sure she is having fun!

Grace was hired to watch our baby while I went to physical therapy. She interviewed, provided great references and then didn’t show up. I waited 20 min for Grace to arrive thinking maybe she got lost or was just running behind. This made me late for my medical appointment 40 minutes away -now with a baby along for the ride/appointment. If you’ve ever attended physical therapy you’ll understand that it’s almost impossible to accomplish anything while managing an infant, which is why we tried to hire a sitter. We tried to reach out and didn’t hear from Grace for more than an hour after she was due to arrive. She said her alarm didn’t go off, apologized and requested a second chance. We agreed to a second try thinking mistakes happen and we’ve all had those moments where we sleep through an alarm or it doesn’t go off. On her second try just 3 days later… she didn’t show up again! The only thing worse than being a busy mom in need of help is being a busy mom whose help doesn’t show up!!! I would not recommend Grace as we obviously did not find her to be reliable.
