Hello! I have 15+ years of experience with children of all ages in many capacities over the years. I have sat, cared for, cooked for and mentored children from infants/toddlers, ages 2mo to 12 years through school age. I have worked primarily with infants, pre-k, this past 4 years, helping with sleep training, feeding schedules and nap schedules, caring for babies and older siblings simultaneously. I love getting children engaged in outdoor activities, art, music, home crafts, cooking, baking and all other age appropriate games and activities. I prefer an afternoon walk in the park, museum, iceskating, creating art and listening to music vs. children siting home on an Ipad, watching TV. There is so much to discover! I love children and always happy to help when I am available! Please note: *I have a 5 hour minimum, rates are based on infants, number of children, weekday, weekend and nights. Read more I am open to short term, temporary full time, full days, weekends, weekend nights Should your current caregiver need a holiday or you are traveling out of the country, visiting and need a hotel sit, I travel for SKI trips and vacations or long term temporary while you search for the perfect permanent caregiver. I have done all of the above and helped many parents while providing stellar childcare. I have run art programs for children in Wisconsin (YMCA after school art program) and California. I have worked for clients who have praised me for my work with children. An all around STAND IN, providing: reliable care, over nights, weekends and weekend nights while parents are out for an evening or out of town. Light cooking for the children, help with homework, bathing, reading, bedtime. Love hiking and the outdoors, available for weddings, outdoor activities and social hours, helping Mums and Dads when their plates are simply too full to do everything. I would love to work with you, I am flexible, reliable, patient, trustworthy, very responsible, energetic, caring, loving and kind. I would like to find a family that really appreciates really good child care and someone whom loves children and has a strong set of morals with gentle guidance, yet is fun and kind. Ideally, I would prefer to work a full day from early morning to early evening but if there are 5+ hours, I am flexible depending on my schedule and the rate.

Laylah was our nanny for 6 weeks while we navigated work for the first time since having our kid. he'd just turned 4 months and warmed to her straight away. Laylah was attentive, responsible, caring and confident during her time with him - she filled his day with activities - going for walks, reading books and playing together. she kept track of his sleep, eating and general development with genuine interest and concern, and communicated to us with detailed updates and observations. we were grateful he was so well taken care of during a critical time for us figuring out our new family work/life balance!

Laylah was a fantastic babysitter for us. She took care of our newborn and we couldn’t have been happier with the care she provided. Laylah was communicative, proactive and extremely considerate. She, without our asking, offered to drive herself and send a negative COVID test each time she sat for us. While we were out she communicated clearly and provided a number of updates, but also allowed us to have our evening away (date night!). We would happily work with Laylah again in the future and think you should too.

Laylah did an excellent job sitting our 2 month old, twice while we were visiting the city. She was communicative and helpful, making set up a breeze and offering to pick up supplies for us from the grocery store on her way to sit. She stayed in touch during both evenings and provided timely updates and pictures throughout. We'll be sure to seek Laylah's help again next time we are in the city, and recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and helpful sitter.

We had an incredible experience with Laylah. She watched our two year old son while we were visiting for the week. It was our first time hiring a sitter so I was nervous but she made me feel at ease and the night couldn't have gone any smoother. I was amazed how quickly he warmed up to her and he didn't even mind when we had to say goodbye to leave. She took him out for dinner and a little adventuring nearby, sending updates and photos throughout the night. I could tell he was having a blast and we were able to enjoy our night out without worry. By the time we returned to the hotel room he was sleeping peacefully. When he woke up the next morning he kept talking about how much fun he had playing with Laylah! I am so grateful we connected with her and hope to connect with her again the next time our family is back for a visit.

Laylah cared for our 11 month-old daughter for one day when our regular nanny was unexpectedly unavailable. Laylah was easy to communicate with when trying to coordinate the scheduling. Throughout the day, Laylah was attentive and engaged in age-appropriate activities with our daughter. She followed instructions, made helpful suggestions and asked questions as appropriate. I would gladly hire her again!

Laylah watched our 8.5-month-old son last night, for the first time, and we could not be happier. She was on time, related well with our boy, had great instincts on how to handle our household. Highly recommend her! We will be using her again, absolutely.

We called Laylah in pinch to sit for our 7 month old. She was very attentive to our instructions, was punctual and reliable, and best of all our son loved her! Highly recommend, we will call her again for sure.

Laylah has watched our 21-month son numerous times over the past six months, and from the get-go, we felt completely secure and confident in her sitting. She engages our son fully, whether in the apartment playing or reading, or out and about, taking him to the park, for long walks, to feed the ducks, and on picnics. She is gentle, warm, loving, and patient, and I genuinely feel that she enjoys her time with him and has his best interest and development in mind. She sends photos and updates throughout the day and goes out of her way to keep our place tidy. She's also a fabulous cook and makes him healthful, tasty meals. I would unequivocally recommend Laylah for any job -- her competence, energy and caring temperament make her a real find in the world of childcare.

Laylah was a wonderful help to us when our nanny took a couple of days off. She was able to fluidly step in and adapt to the new situation with ease. Both of my daughters and my dog enjoyed spending time with her.

Laylah sat for my 9 year old boy. She was willing to come on short notice, was prompt, and my son had a great time. Laylah took my son to play soccer in a nearby park. When the ball rolled into the river, she actually arranged for a couple in a boat to bring it back! My son was duly impressed. Laylah kept communicating throughout the day regarding their whereabouts and what they were doing. Very responsible and highly recommended.

Similar to the other review, Layla babysat for my 10 month old daughter for 2 days while she was sick and couldn't go to her usual child care. Layla did a great job of comforting her and caring for her while she was feverish and obviously feeling quite ill on the first day. It was not an easy task, and Layla handled it well and with a great attitude. On the second day, when the baby was feeling better, Layla played with her and she seemed to have a great day. Very responsible and fun. I highly recommend her!

Laylah babysat for my sick ten-month-old daughter for three days. She was just the gentle touch that my baby needed, although I could tell that she also has a fun, playful side that would have come out more if my daughter had been up for it. She's also a mom's dream - responsive to texts and emails, sent me cute pictures of the baby, and picked up as she went along. Highly recommended.
