I grew up in Central Illinois, the fourth of six kids! I have four brothers and a sister, so I'm very used to rambunctious and energetic households. When I was a child, I was super crafty and outdoorsy. I loved a good playground and dance classes. I was very energetic! I am a theatre maker, and I see arts education as interconnected to early childhood education, curiosity, and play. Theatre, make-believe, and imagination are all one and the same. Today, nannying is a different job! During COVID, I believe that what children are missing out on most is time with peers and play. My philosophy as a nanny right now is to get in there and play with your children, while integrating learning and education in creative ways. I love to read books, craft, and cook! I worked as an elementary school English tutor in classrooms in Madrid, Spain and taught English in ESL adult classrooms. I've also worked as a camp counselor for kids ages 7-17. I have experience caring for children with special needs as well. My youngest brother is on the spectrum. I am 10 years older than him, so grew up babysitting and caring for him a lot. I'm comfortable engaging with kids at any age, and love the challenge of relating to a child's individual and specific needs.
