Hi there! I'm Olivia Caridi, I'm 25 years old and I'm new to the Nashville area from New York City! I lived in Bristol, Tennessee for a few years and after a while of hustling in NYC, I'm ready to settle down in Tennessee with work as a part-time nanny or babysitter! I have been working as a nanny and babysitter for the last seven years and it’s my greatest joy to work with children! To this day, I am very close to the woman who babysat me as a kid, and I credit her for shaping me into the person I am today. With that said, I want to have the same role in a child’s life, and I find it so rewarding to be a part of a child’s growth and development. In New York City, I worked for two major babysitting agencies, SmartSitter and Hello Sitter, and Read more I became one of the top-rated sitters within both companies. I specialize in last-minute, temporary positions, whether it's for a date night, after school pickup, or school dropoff in the morning. I also worked a more full-time position with a family as a full-time nanny twice a week, planning full days of activities while the two children's parents were at work. In the last three years, I've also had a full-time position picking twins up from school, taking them to after-school activities, coordinating play dates, or for entertaining them at home until their father got home from work. With children, I try to be as active and adventurous as possible, taking kids to play at the park or the nearby playground when the weather was nice, and if they wanted to play inside, I tried to get as creative as possible to avoid time in front of the television. I helped structure their time with arts and crafts, reading aloud, playing “Tickle Monster” or “Hide and Seek,” doing homework or even coming up with plays to act out. We also went over homework and I performed household duties like cooking dinner, loading and unloading the dishwasher, cleaning, and also some personal assistant tasks for the parents. The kids I babysit have confided in me about problems at school, feelings when they're having meltdowns, and smiles on their best days.
