Hello! My name is Carolyn, I'm 31 years old, born and raised in New York City. I've been a K-12 writing, ELL, language and visual arts teacher for 6 years, working with various public schools, non-profits, and government-funded programs in New York, California and Arizona. I have an MFA, I've done sitting and tutoring work off and on for several years to supplement teaching jobs. I have a car and am fully vaccinated. I love what I do! I find kids super creative, I enjoy making art projects or stories, and also great with homework help especially around literacy/ reading and any bilingual (Spanish and Portuguese) needs. I like to think of sitting not as just watching over your kids, but a time to engage, build and learn from your child with curiosity, imagination and attention!
