Hello! I am a 26 year old woman living in lower Manhattan, looking for summer work. In addition to having extensive babysitting experience throughout my teens and early twenties, I am also a trained social worker (my primary area of focus was youth) and a fiction writer. Additionally, I volunteered at multiple children's specialized hospitals during my high school years, as well as worked as a tutor in math and reading. I believe strongly in the merits of social-emotional learning and trauma-informed care, particularly when working with children, which means that part of being a good sitter is helping children navigate their emotions and relationships. I will be heading off to Cornell University in the fall for a creative writing MFA and in the meantime, am eager to take on any opportunities you might have for me.
