Hello! A little bit about my care experience is that I have brother that is five years younger than I am who was diagnosed with Digeorge Syndrome as a baby. DiGeorge Syndrome is a condition that present from birth which can cause a range of lifelong problems, such as heart defects and affecting an individuals mental ability. Unfortunately, this condition is not curable, and as a baby my brother needed excess care from my parents and I. Since he was born, I have been assisting care for him to make his and my parents lives a bit easier. When he was a baby, my responsibilities included changing him, feeding him, and watching him throughout the day since we could not hire a personal babysitter. Today, my responsibilities include helping him with his homework, making food, and ultimately being there for him as not just a caretaker, but also as his Read more sister. I also have two years of participating in Big Brothers Big Sisters, where I voluntarily would play and emotionally be present for the child I was looking after. I really have a passion for taking care of children and providing them with the best care and success.
