I am a former nanny, actor and children's theater teacher. I'm also a Licensed Veterinary Technician. I moved to the Hudson Valley in 2018. Over the past few years I worked in Brooklyn for two wonderful families with children ranging in ages from 6 months - toddler, kindergarten, and a 5th grader. I still miss them! I'm available for part-time / occasional / weekend sitting in the vicinity of High Falls, Stone Ridge, New Paltz and Kingston. In addition to having taught and directed children's theater, I went to school for outdoor education, I've worked on a farm, I'm a former volunteer docent of the Prospect Park Zoo, I have a certificate in sustainable agriculture, I play the piano and the guitar (a little!) and I'm a certified Mindfulness Meditation instructor. I try to get kids outdoors as often as possible to explore....whether you're in the yard, in a park, or on a trail there is always something new to discover. Sometimes a change of scenery is just the thing. Preparing bottles, feeding, and changing diapers are no problem. I love reading books with older kids, playing sports, getting crafty with glue, paint and glitter, and I'm happy to help with homework and to prepare meals. I speak conversational French. As a licensed vet tech, walking dogs and/or caring for animals is right up my alley - pets are fine with me! I am happy to supply additional excellent references. Aimee watched our 5 month old daughter for two nights while we were at a wedding nearby. She was fantastic - prompt, friendly, flexible, and our daughter loved her. I'd recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter.
