Hello! :) My name is Giana Hubbard and I am interested in working with children and expanding my experience as a babysitter! As of May 2020, I graduated with a Personality and Social Psychology Degree from Pace University in Pleasantville, NY. During my time at Pace, I was inducted into the National Golden Key Honor Society, Psi Chi National Honor Society, and Tao Sigma International Honor Society. I also graduated from my university with Summa Cum Laude, The Dyson Personality and Social Psychology Selected Student Award, and was within the Top 100 scholars at Pace for four years. I have gone through many trainings, such as allergy, first-aid, CPR, choking, and AED certifications. Through my work and educational experiences, I hope to use my knowledge of mental health to positively influence children! Although graduating during Covid-19 can be very challenging, I hope to continue my dream of studying psychology and Read more working with children. During my time in college, I babysat children from the ages of six to twelve, drove them to school, assisted them with homework, played with them, and taught them ADL skill-building. Through my more professional work, I conducted a yearlong research project with a Doctor of Psychology on the impact of social media on youth. Through this opportunity, I have obtained an ethics certificate and experience with statistics. This helped me to contribute to my previous jobs as a recovery coach for eating disorders and become a house manager for schizophrenic clients. Through each job experience I was able to gain more knowledge and awareness of mental health in everyday life. After reading my biography, I hope to get a chance to speak with you and become a positive influence on your children's lives!
