Hi! My name is Brenda and I love to work with kids! I am so grateful to be able to work with families and their children, so I never take a day of it for granted! I come to your home with energy and enthusiasm, put together and ready to set the tone for a great day, each day. I am also happy to provide transportation for activities or appointments. I can stay at a steadily fast pace all day moving from one activity, or step in the routine, seamlessly, to the next. I ensure to manage my time so that I know you are walking into a home that is at least as clean as you left it, and you may even find your dishwasher emptied, trash taken out, or your floors and surfaces to be spotless. I am extremely accommodating to each individual family and am very mindful Read more of different expectations. Just as importantly, I am very open to discussion and constructive criticism if necessary to improve my performance in any areas - communication as well as comprehension can make the ultimate difference and create the best result for ALL involved. I have a range of experience working with children. Most of my experience has been with children 5/6 and under (including newborns and infants). I have done my fair share of working in group settings (everything from volunteering my summers at HeadStart as a teenager to being the Head Caregiver at a fancy 5 star resort center during college). During 2020 Covid, I worked locally at a daycare with 4-5 year olds. From then, I took a break from childcare and worked for the state. I missed working with kids for a few years and was able to make childcare a stable career by becoming a nanny. I have been nannying for the past 2 years and have loved it! I would love to find one family who needs regularly scheduled care, but am also open to adding some additional families who may need more non-recurring care to my schedule until the right full-time opportunity becomes available. I have all of my recommendations and references with contact info ready and on hand to share, along with many more details about myself I can offer at interview or any time you are interested in hearing a little more.
