Hello Moms & Dads :) A little about me. My name is Stephanie, born & raised in NYC. I was studying law in college when I ended up having my child and realized my passion laid with children and decided to pursue a degree in childhood education instead. Throughout the last 15 years as a teacher and managing services for children with developmental disabilities in the department of health and department of education I have worked as a nanny. I have extensive experience with premature infants up to middle school children and with children on the spectrum, with ADHD or speech delays. I am well versed in the milestones a child should achieve and as a caregiver I implement goals to make sure that I work with each child on all their domains of developmental including their cognitive, social and language and just caring for them physically although safety is Read more always my #1 priority. Working with children requires patience, empathy, being passionate about it and understanding that every child is different in their own way. I believe that good communication between parents and all caregivers is essential so that everyone is on the same page. As a mom myself I understand how difficult it can be specially for first time parents to separate from their child and feel like they are "missing out" or having a sense of guilt kick in and I'm here to make the process easier and provide ease. I am CPR certified and update it every 2 years. I am a non smoker. I don't do corporal punishment hence I am not a good fit with parents that do. Best of luck to everyone in their search "If a child does not understand the way we teach, perhaps we should teach in a way they understand"

I can't recommend Stephanie enough as a sitter for my children, ages 6 and 11. She's been working part-time with our family, and we've seen such positive changes since she started. One of the things that stands out is how she involves the kids in daily tasks around the house. Whether it's tidying up or helping in the kitchen, she has a way of making it fun and engaging, which has actually made the kids more willing to pitch in on their own, even when she’s not around. Stephanie has also helped foster a much healthier food routine in our home. Before she came, getting the kids to eat well was a constant struggle. But with her patient approach, she gradually introduced them to healthier options, and now they even ask for fruits and vegetables without any prompting. Her gentle encouragement and creativity with meal prep have made a real difference. What I particularly appreciate about her is the way she connects with both of my children, especially my 11-year-old who has Autism. Stephanie is incredibly patient and intuitive, always knowing how to approach situations with calmness and understanding. She never rushes or gets frustrated, and she always ensures that my son feels heard and respected, which has been invaluable. Overall, Stephanie is not just a sitter but a positive influence in our home. She brings out the best in my kids with her warmth, creativity, and consistency. I’m so grateful for her support and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and capable caregiver.

We needed care a bit last minute for our 11 mo. old. Stephanie was super prompt replying to my message and communication was very easy. We set up a quick chat to align. Stephanie has a very impressive background working with children in both her personal and professional life. Our little one is in a stage where he gets some separation anxiety but he did really well with Stephanie. Especially for meeting for the first time. Stephanie went above and beyond and looked up potential activities in the area for him. She has great energy and really spent time engaging with him throughout the day and reading his cues. It’s very stressful to find back up bare for your little one last minute and from someone you trust; I am very grateful we found Stephanie and she gave us peace of mind for the day. Would definitely work with her again in the future. Thank you Stephanie!

Stephanie is kind. In the short time my family has used her, I can truly say she cares about my child. She keeps me updated constantly. Genuinely cares for my child’s well-being and her hitting all her milestones. I wrote that I wanted someone that felt like family and Stephanie is 100% that. This is my first time ever using a sitter so I’ll admit I was hesitant at first but I quickly became comfortable just watching how much my child gravitated towards her. I would absolutely recommend.

This review has been a long time coming. Stephanie worked with our family for 3 years in 2014-2017. As first time parents both my wife and I wanted to find the best care for our daughter. We expected to find someone who was professional at their job and experienced enough to use common sense. What we found in Stephanie was much more. She was like family. We could tell from the time we met her she genuinely cared and we were very happy that she was so knowledgeable on child development given that our child had spent the first few months of her life in the NICU. Stephanie went above and beyond to not just care for the safety of our daughter but also work close with both us and her therapists to make sure that our daughter met developmental goals all while being happy and encouraged to socialize and try new things. Stephanie was great at setting up play dates, staying in touch with us through the day and being there when we most needed her. I'm pretty skeptical of people when it comes to my child but I highly recommend her.

I'm so glad I hired Stephanie to watch my 5 month old during a wedding reception. I did have a babysitter from this site who backed up 4 hours before the reception so glad Stephaine was able to do it last mint. I did have a very cranky baby, but Stephaine took excellent care of her, while I enjoyed my cousins reception. I would love to hire her again, when I'm in the city.
