We hired Maria who prefers to be called "Mona" as a long term permanent babysitter. She worked for us for 3 days and 4 hours. Early on a Monday 4:43 am to be exact she texted she couldn't come into work due to menstrual cramps, back & muscle pain. When asked if she can come in the next day or the rest of the week, she replied she will get back to us at night or the next morning then added she also got a fever at 6:30 am and was coughing. Due to Covid-19 and our sons being very young, twin boys 8 months and 3 year old son we asked her to see a doctor so she can get an all clear to continue to work. We waited for her update but none was given. We called her twice, left her voice messages, texted her a few times and nothing, no reply back no call back just nothing. She finally got back to us at 9:33 pm to tell us that she will no longer work for us that due to her severe back pain and fatigue she can't work for us. We have told her from the start that HONESTY and COMMUNICATION is Extremely important to us. She had all weekend to pick up the phone to let us know how she felt and to be truthful. She could of just told us that physically she can't handle our kids and decided to not work for us. But instead she unprofessionally resign through text message very late at night and really inconsiderate of the bad situation she has now put us in. The job was to help my mom who is in her 70s watch our 3 sons, so she was never alone for long duration as my mom was with her majority of the time. We really thought she would be different but interview alone can't tell you the true nature of an applicant. She did help us even though it was a very very short period of time, we just truly wished it didn't end in such a unfavorable note. We would NOT recommend her since Honesty and Communication are great factors of importance to us!!! She maybe different with another family we can only share our experience with her and needless to say we are very disappointed in how it all turned out.
