I am an experienced Special Education Teacher promoting quality education through constant support and dedication. I currently teach at NEST +m. I am a versatile and dedicated child advocate with a solid focus on the individual needs of children. As a kindhearted and empathetic professional, I am flexible and accommodating in the design and implementation of inspiring hands-on, educational activities for children. As an educator, I possess a variety of behavior management techniques and am very adept to working with many children at a time. When I am with your child, or children, you can expect them to be entertained whether it be exploring your own back yard, inspiring reading through hands-on activities, or integrating technology to engage in new learning. While this profile highlights some of the activities that I am of course willing to do with your child/children, as a special education teacher I am used to teaching Read more reading, writing, math, science and social studies. Therefore, I am very willing to take activity requests and come up with new activities to meet the needs, preferences and interests of your child/ children. Educators like me tend to be very flexible! I have over fifteen years of care giving experience with children ranging from four weeks to 14 years. I have been a counselor at two camps in New York, working with preschool aged children. I am also a licensed substitute teacher's aide in New York for ages three to five and have worked at an elementary school. I am a current 7th grade Special Education teacher in Manhattan. I have been teaching middle school in an ICT setting for seven years. I obtained my Master in Adolescent Special Education 7-12. Prior to that, I obtained my Bachelors in Human Development and Family Studies. I am a high spirited, creative and enthusiastic, committed educator who really enjoys working and playing with children. I can be considerably imaginative and crafty, and I enjoy reading and playing games as well as coming up with new adventures and stories. Working with children means celebrating the little things each time I spend with them. Each booking brings new excitements—a new fact learned, joke told, a walk on the beach, a treasure found in their own back yard—and I'm a part of it all. I get the opportunity to celebrate a lot of little moments, and each moment brightens both their, and my lives.
