Greetings!! There are a few reasons why I am posting as a child care provider... mainly I have recently been dismayed at the school system and had made the decision to home school my children. Once that decision was made a host of other things transpired that has catapulted me out of the world of traditional corporate America. I am a truly dynamic person and an advocate for all people but especially the little people. My experiences with children are varied from volunteer to paid: As a younger sibling of two older sisters I did babysitting of nieces and nephews for older siblings and their friends. As a college student I did an volunteer internship at the Boys and Girls Club Hoe Ave Clubhouse in Bronx, NY where I co-hosted a Go Nike Sports Event as well as taught youth aged 6-12 Sportsmanship and Life Skills. I then did and internship for Read more a few semesters at the Girls Club of New York before being hired as an after school program Tutor then promoted again to become and Educational Coordinator where I supervised 3 tutors as well as tutored youth in middle school. I had being actively involved in the Holy Cross Head Start Program as a Parent whereby I was a Secretary and then Treasurer at the Sheridan Parkside location in Tonawanda, NY for 2 years. Then I became part of the Policy Committee where I was Treasurer for two years as well. During these experiences I was selected to go on numerous National Head Start Association Conferences where we elected to go to workshops to learn about best methods to working with head start aged children. We wrote summaries and reported back to policy committee members and parents at our cities. A lot of what I learned I applied to in my personal life experiences with my child as well as other peoples children. I will end here and look forward to assisting you in any of your child care needs.
