I am a 22 year old college student at Buffalo State College. I am currently a senior about to complete my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education (Birth-2nd Grade) and will continue on to the Literacy Specialist Masters Program at Buff State when I graduate in the spring. I am student teaching this semester. I have been a paid babysitter since I was 12 years old and was caring for my younger siblings long before that. Caring for children has always come easily for me which is why I have chosen to get a degree in education. When I am at home for the summer I work for a daycare center primarily in the preschool room but float between all ages from infant to school-age. For the past year of college I worked as a substitute teacher grades k-8, sadly student teaching is full time during school hours so I Read more can no longer sub. My dream is to one day run my own at home daycare or become a pre-k teacher. I am looking for some part time babysitting positions to make a little bit of money as student teaching is unpaid.
