Hello, I am a former practicing licensed mental health therapist (still licensed), and current entrepreneur who works as a life coach, artist and healer. I've worked with children professionally in a variety of settings throughout my career: school, home, medical and mental health facilities, private practice, etc. I've worked with children who had a variety of special needs, including high-functioning autism. My training in mental health has equipped me with tools and skills for de-escalating stressful situations, active listening, managing emotions and behaviors, trauma-informed care, and unconditional positive regard and empathy. In addition to my professional mental health work and training in the healing arts, I have provided childcare for children at a variety of ages in my home as well as their own homes. This care was provided after school, overnight and/or as part of daycare during regular daytime hours. My work as an artist, coach and healer is rooted in the upliftment and liberation of humanity from oppressive and violent societal systems and norms. Children are the most vulnerable people in our society and it's our duty to protect them and nurture them. I also believe that children are bright, intelligent, loving, gifted humans who, with the right care and guidance, have the potential to grow into loving, gifted and compassionate adults. I am honored to do my part to help facilitate that growth.
