I have worked in education for over twelve years, in all areas and with various age groups. It is a joy for me to be able to work with children. I was recently employed as a Head Teacher at the West Side YMCA, certified in both CPR and First Aid. As a teacher at the YMCA Infant/Toddler Program, I was responsible for the day to day activities and care for children between the ages of 6 months to 2 years of age. I planned and implemented age appropriate, educational activities to uphold our creed of learning through play. Prior to working at the YMCA, I was employed as a Head Teacher at a daycare facility, working in the Toddler classroom. I supervised, educated and played with a group of toddlers between the ages of 18 months to 26 months. My range of experience extended from our youngest group of 6 week old babies and the careful care at such a tender age, to our older, preschool aged kids. I strive to better each child academically, mentally and emotionally. To see the growth and progress of each child is the greatest gift I have experienced in my career, and I aim to continue to challenge myself and my children to reach new heights.
