Meet Jarrett

Hello! My name is Jarrett, I am 26 years old, and I have been born and raised on Long Island! I have been working with school-aged children in different capacities since 2016. When in high school, I had a teacher who had an enormous positive impact on my life. I attribute much of who I am and who I grew up to be to this teacher. As a result, I decided to pursue a career path in the field of education as I wanted to have that same positive impact on as many children as I possibly could. As a result, I decided to major in Physical Education and Health Education. While in college pursuing my bachelors degree, I was an Assistant Supervisor for a before and after school program within a school district on Long Island. After attaining my bachelors degree, I taught Adaptive Physical Education (physical education for Read more students with disabilities) in NYC. Currently, I teach physical and health education teacher and coach a variety of sports within a school district on Long Island. In addition, during the summers, I am a division leader at a local summer camp on Long Island. There is no other feeling that is even comparable to witnessing a child's growth within the social, academic, and mental-emotional areas of their life and knowing that you had an impact on that.
