My name is Tara. I'm 27 years old. I'm from a big family, I'm the oldest of eight kids. I have a nephew that's 2 1/2 and a niece that's 7 months old. That's probably the main reason I always been interesting in kids and taking care of kids. I was always the oldest of my cousin and siblings and have always had the experience younger then most people ever had experience at. A lot of my siblings are way younger then me so I feel like I'm more of a mom to them then a sister to them. Before I was in the work force at 16 I always baby sat for people around the neighborhood, family friends, family and people who would recommend me to others. When I was a senior in High School I took a Child Education Class At Wilson Tech Boces. And three days a Read more week the class and I taught a free preschool program from ages 2-5. Also made lesson plans. I was only Suspose to do half the preschool time because there was a lot of other students and less kids. But I always ended up doing the whole day and made a bunch of lesson plans for the different activities we were doing that day. I'm very experienced so the age of the child or the number of children isn't a issue for me. I'm also looking into taking a CPR class at my local library just in case just to have it if something were ever to happen. I prefer a teaching assistant job or a nanny job full time that I can commute by train and go into New York City. I'm a loving, social, caring, very easy going person to be around. Kids have always been my number one priority and always will be. For me this isn't just a job to me it's my world. And kids can not only learn from you, but you can also learn from them and see a more positive outlook on life. I'm more street smart then book smart with kids. I have experienced things first hand that others haven't at a young age so the drive of having a big family and kids in my life was always a must.
