My name is Ali and I am a nanny with 5+ years experience. I recently moved back to New Mexico from San Diego where I worked for the Children's Museum. I am a returning UNM student. At the University of New Mexico, I served as a teaching assistant for the Saturday morning children's theater classes. While working in the program I managed a classroom of up to 30 students all between the ages of 4-10. We used drama and play to explore storytelling and learn reading comprehension skills. I was blessed with the opportunity to work with the program for 3 years. Other teaching experience includes working with the Albuquerque Public School system as a play writing teacher. I visited various 4th grade classes throughout the city on a bi-weekly basis to work with children on their reading and writing skills while allowing them the freedom to use their imaginations Read more and strengthen their critical thinking skills. I have also worked with an accredited after school program, Children's Choice; while at CC, I created clubs and ran activities in STEM, music, art and cooking. My nanny experience includes: • Providing care to children with autism (including toileting, providing medication, and bathing.) • Swimming lessons • Infant care • Providing care for 4+ children (including potty training, lesson plans, tutoring and creative play) I love being outdoors, crafting, singing and playtime!
