Hi there! I am an aspiring dietician student who loves working with kids. I have Celiac Disease and cannot eat wheat or gluten, as such I am extremely well versed in food allergies and restrictions (also use of an EpiPen). I love to spend time experimenting with gluten-free cooking and baking. I am an avid reader of mostly fiction and love authors with immersive world-building. I have experience working children’s programs teaching them about farming, foods, and farm animals. Using a hands-on approach actively working with our bodies and senses to learn and experience these topics. As such, I love to do many different activities with kids both indoors and outdoors to keep them happy & engaged. Previously I provided full-time care for a special needs child which entailed many different responsibilities: supervision and organizational tasks like maintaining his diet, medication, and sleeping schedules. I assured he got the specialized Read more and structured care he needed from his educational, special therapy and social environments by facilitating relationships with teachers, friends, and parents–his own and those of other children. I aided, supported, and documented his progress with his education, physical lessons and extracurriculars, and special therapy tasks to increase social awareness. I acted as the relayer of information between the child and each specialist, instructor, and doctor ensuring each care provider communicated with each other as well as with the child and his family–all with the goal of improving his overall mental, emotional, and physical health. Like all other babysitters or nannies I also have experience managing meal times, light errands & home chores, and transportation to various appointments and activities. I have excellent time management skills and can easily coordinate and plan with and around multiple children's schedules.
