The learning experience | Piscataway | 05/14-3/17 Worked as a floater for 2 years and worked as an assistant teacher in the toddler room. Responsibilities were to care, nurture and teach the children through many activities and interactions. We would teach sign language, music and movement, Spanish, math, art and manners to the children. I have worked in all the rooms from infants to preschool (from 6 weeks to 6 years old). I have also worked with older kids in the summer time because of summer camp which has gone up the age of 9. I have also babysat for some of the parents from this daycare, for date nights, for extra help, a special event and for other occasions. I was responsible for pick up from the bus stop, making sure the children had a snack after school, making sure they did their homework and I also did the children’s laundry and light house cleaning. Took the youngest child to piano lessons and reminded the older one to go to piano lessons. I also made snacks and light cooking for the children and prepared them snack for school.
