Hello! My name is Brittany. I am a film/ creative writing graduate of Rowan University, where I received a 3.8 GPA. I currently work at a video production company as head of public outreach. My professional past experience in childcare roots from my work as a daycare teacher at All About Me Daycare in Emerson, NJ, were I worked with children ages zero to six. My most recent job in childcare was as a nanny for 2 children (5 and 7) in Demarest, NJ. I worked with this family from July 2016 to March 2018. I have been working with children since I was 15, making for almost a decade in this field, and since have acquired skills in tutoring, homework help, teaching basic english, math, science, history, reading and writing, sports skills, etc. I am extremely passionate about working with children, and making sure a child feels happy and Read more secure with my presence. In my past experience, I've found it important to keep the children active whether it be by finding free activities to participate in around town, traveling to parks, riding bikes, playing board games, building forts, making arts and crafts, going to the library, playing sports. No matter the gender or age I am very versatile in finding fun things to do. If the kids are napping or otherwise engaged, I find time to tidy up the mess that may have been made (cleaning the dishes, putting back the toys). I have also been able to drop or pick children up from tutors, doctors appointments, and school. I am an experienced and safe driver, allowing no parent to every have to worry about the safety of their child with my hands at the wheel. My relationship with the children and guardians is also highly important. It is always my goal for the child to feel safe and protected during our time together.
