Hello prospective families! My name is Brittany, and I am a 36 year old . I have over 15 years of experience as a caregiver, working with individuals ranging in age from infants to 20 years old. Much of my work has been with families who have multiple children and children with varying mental and/or behavioral disorders. In addition to my caregiving experience, I have spent the past six years working in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, specifically with children on the autism spectrum. I am currently completing the requirements to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). For the past five years I have in a supervisory position overseeing multiple staff members and client cases receiving ABA services across home, community and school settings. This experience has been incredibly rewarding and has allowed me to develop specialized skills in communication, behavioral support, and fostering social and developmental growth. Working Read more one-on-one with children, I have helped them develop important life skills, improve communication, and reduce challenging behaviors. This has further deepened my understanding of child development and strengthened my ability to adapt to each child’s unique needs. Looking back on my years of caregiving, I’ve learned a great deal about both myself and the responsibilities of caring for children. There have certainly been both good and challenging days, as any parent can attest to, but every experience has contributed to my growth and has shaped me into the caregiver I am today. I will always cherish these lessons and the memories I’ve made along the way. My caregiving philosophy is to try new things while ensuring that safety and fun are always the top priorities. I encourage the children I work with to explore new activities, meet new people, and experience new places. Whether it’s venturing into it's exploring the nature along Boathouse Row, or learning about physics at the Franklin Institute, I believe every day should be an opportunity for learning and fun!
