Hello! My name is Khiara Valentine, and I am a 26-year-old native of Morristown. I grew up in a large, loving family and, as the only granddaughter, quickly learned to care for my younger cousins, which I thoroughly enjoyed. My family values celebrations, whether for birthdays or accomplishments. Athletics have always been a significant part of my life; I had the opportunity to play two varsity sports in college. I graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor’s in Social Work in 2021, followed by a Master’s in Social Work from Montclair State University in 2022. Most recently, I worked as a Senior Manager for a nonprofit supporting low-income, minority families and the homeless population throughout New Jersey. I’m grateful for that experience and have transitioned back to working with youth and families.
