Hi! my name is Amanda, I am currrentl a teacher looking for some summer tutoring hours. With schools closed, and online learning becoming part of our everyday routine, it is important to keep children focused and busy during this time. I have a degree in Family Studies and a Masters in Literacy Instruction. I have many years experience working with children of all ages, and have been teaching for 3 years. My instructional focus is building and practicing literacy skills and strategies that can be used across grade levels. My instruction would mimic a book club model, where your child would get a copy of a book we would read together virtually and disucss. My intention is to also implement writing about reading, and critial thinking skills.
