Hi, my name is Christine. I have been a nanny/babysitter for over 15 years and I have worked at Mahwah public school and two daycares, Light Bridge and Apple Montessori in Mahwah (I loved teaching the Montessori way and the learning children get from it). I have over five years of experience with specials needs, including down syndrome, autistic, and children with diabetes. I have my AS in early childhood education and a BS in exercise science. I also am NASM certified (personal trainer). I have cared for all ages: newborn to teenagers and have a lot of experience with special needs. I am a fun, responsible, professional, energetic, creative, and a warmhearted person. Duties performed include: meal prep, pureeing fresh baby food, tummy time, diaper changing, potty training, homework help, tutoring, driving to and from school/activities, playing games, supervising play dates, playing outside, bath time, house chores, errands, laundry, Read more etc. I like to stay busy and am very motivated. I am a huge believer in positive reinforcement. Children need support, someone they can rely on, a consistent care giver, and someone they feel comfortable with. Supervising children, consistent routine/schedules, understanding of child development, and being prepared are all very important. I have plenty of references, I am CPR/first aide certified, and fully vaccinated. *I do take the worlds pandemic very serious. I live with someone who is considered "high risk." With that being said, I take all the precautions recommended by the CDC. As stated before, I have worked with multiple families over the last ten years. Some families were for babysitting: date nights, few hours during the day, and or weekend help. Others were a nanny position. My nanny positions were long term: at least 2 years, if not more. I am looking to find a family to join and help out anyway that I can. I have no problem helping the parents out as well with any house chores or errands that don’t pertain to the children. Families in the past would leave me a list every morning of things that needed to be done, before the children came home. Being a nanny means working as a team with the parents to help out.
