I was a nurse for a number of years working with children who have not only medical problems, but emotional and behavioral issues. I have experience with physically challenged children and those with special needs. I have verifiable references, a background check and knowledge of CPR and First Aid. I have been a nanny full time for 15 years now. The majority of my care has been with infants, toddlers and preschool aged children. The first year of life is involves meeting a multitude of milestones. Tummy time, rolling over, sitting up, crawling and walking are very important. I use music, visual and auditory stimulation for infants to learn, and walks in the stroller and socialization to meet milestones. Toddlers are on the move. Age appropriate and educational toys are just the beginning. Exploring the world around them keeps them stimulated and engaged. Pre-schoolers are constantly learning. Bonding with caregivers is so important for them to feel safe and happy. I believe that the most vital part of the relationship between family and nanny is communication. I respect all different parenting styles, and I will care for your children exactly as instructed. This provides continuity and consistency for your child so they know what to expect and feel safe and secure. It is truly a pleasure to develop a rapport with a family and a special bond with children as they learn and grow.
