Hi there, my name is Mel! I am twenty six years old and graduated from USC in 2019 with a BA in Sociology and Psychology. I played Division 1 College Soccer all through out my college experience, and was named captain my sophomore year. Since I was fifteen I have been volunteering all over the world with different nonprofit organizations. My mother is Director of NJ Habitat for Humanity, which is why I started my first solo volunteer trip to Anchorage Alaska in 2015. In Alaska I helped build three homes for homeless families in need. The entire time I was at the building site I was playing with all the local children. Whether it was kickball, jump rope, leap-frog, you name it! Teaching in a third world country was the most humbling, amazing and unforgettable experience of my life. I am extremely hardworking, respectful, friendly, honest and goofy. I do great with children because I always make them laugh, smile & feel comfortable, but also set boundaries so they respect and listen to me as well!
