I am a 24 year old graduate student looking to use babysitting/caregiving as a side job as I finish up my last year of school. I live in central NJ but commute to school in Philadelphia. I am available generally any day of the week, until Jan 14. Come the new semester, I will have to work around my classes but will definitely be available Mondays and Fridays, as well as occasional evenings. Being a full time student does limit my availability, but provides me with unique experience. I am an occupational therapy student, which requires me to be CPR/BLS certified, have full FBI clearance background checks, and a PA DHS child abuse clearance.. which were done through my school and not this service so they are all available upon request if necessary. Full transparency, I have minimal paid babysitting experience, about 2 years on and off in high school Read more as well as caring for my own twin younger siblings. With that said my professional and educational experiences have required me to work with and supervise both children and adults with a range of developmental/physical disabilities in both therapy and volunteer settings. I have worked with a range of kids, from behavioral issues to nonverbal and anywhere in between. I have worked for years at Ivy Rehab as a therapy aide where I have helped treat and been responsible for children of all ages, excluding infants. I have also coached softball for girls ages 10-15, and have volunteer experience at Special Olympics of NJ. I am very passionate about what I do as an OT student, and aspire to work in pediatrics once I graduate. My love of caring for others and educational understanding of what a developing child needs makes me a great fit to be your babysitter !
