For the past 8 years I have worked as a professional nanny in New York, Denver & Kansas City. My experience ranges in age from newborns to teenagers. Most recently I worked for a family with 3 children, ages newborn, 2 & 8 at the start. I am originally from Manhattan, KS where a large part of my family still lives. I am First-Aid & CPR certified, a great driver with reliable transportation (no accidents), I do not smoke & I'm not allergic to pets (most of my previous families had dogs). I also have my Bachelors degree from Emporia State in Communication. My nannying style is very hands on. I am not one to sit around on my phone, I prefer to engage with the kids throughout the day. Whether it's reading books, singing songs, going on walks or visiting the local library/zoo/museum, I enjoy staying busy. I do Read more not rely on screen time for entertainment as I try to plan one main activity/outing each day then fill our time with arts & crafts, playing games, reading, etc. I truly enjoy what I do and that shows in my work, with the love and attention I give the children I care for. My main goal is to create a safe environment that is both fun and engaging. My previous positions required light housework, handling the children's laundry, meal prep, etc. so I am more than happy to help with that! I am very laid back & flexible, so I have no problem coming in early or staying late as needed. I understand things may come up & schedules can change last minute. My daughter is 20 months (she will be 2 in March) and I am hoping to find a position where I could bring her along. I understand that this may not be the right fit for every family & wanted to be transparent.
