I am looking to find an amazing family to babysit part-time or full-time this summer while I am living in Leland,Nc. I graduated with my Masters in Elementary Education from James Madison University in 2021 and am currently a Kindergarten Teacher. I have worked with children since I was 12 years old, and I believe the joy I get from working with children is what drove my career choice today. Now that I am 26, I have a great amount of experience with children of all ages and children with special needs. Through my experience in the classroom, nannying and tutoring with various families’ children, and the knowledge I gained through my studies at James Madison, I am certain I am passionate in providing a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for children to grow and flourish. In a previous summer nanny role, I was responsible for two children, ages 7 Read more and 9 where I would engage them with various outdoor activities, whether it be a fun day by the pool or a trip to the zoo or nearby museum. I was responsible for transportation to recurring activities such as swim team practices, cooking meals, assisting with summer educational activities or homework, and naptime/bedtime routines. One of these children was on the autism spectrum, and through the last 3 years working as a classroom teacher, I am very comfortable with working with the child, and parents to meet each child’s individual goals and needs. In college, I was a part-time nanny, 15 hours a week, to a wonderful 1 year old. We would engage in developmentally appropriate and fun summer activities. I am flexible to what each family needs, and would happily provide some educational activities and resources if the family wishes for their children to incorporate some learning into our fun day-to-day summer break activities. I am a patient, reliable and responsible individual. I would also say I am very energetic and creative, and willing to come up with new engaging and fun activities for children of all ages. I am confident I have the experience, and skill set to be an amazing nanny for your family.
