My first job was as a lifeguard. I fell in love with the small neighborhood pool I watched over and instantly connected with the community around it. I hosted pool events where I held games and activities for children. I currently work as a swim instructor. I teach swim lessons for children ranging from the ages of four months to eleven years. I have experience teaching multiple kids at once, as well as children with special needs. I have been captain of my schools color guard team; I have experience being a leader and a mentor. My mom is a teacher and I always wanted to take after her. She made a difference in the lives of every single student she taught. I have always wanted to have a strong impact like she has.
