I am an experienced childcare provider who has a Master's degree, a history of of interesting and challenging career responsibilities in non-profit and for-profit companies. In recent years: for four years, I taught elementary school science, organized fun lab experiences for children, created a successful gardening program for K-5 students as an after school club, and had an amazing experience there. I loved the kids! (I had to leave because of my child's health issues at the time). I also served as a "substitute nanny" a few years ago working for a prominent Raleigh family (sorry, can't provide information on that family due to an NDA) while their nanny was away. In the near future, I am contracted with a family to provide overnight week-long services to their three sons while they are out of town (the father is a professional golfer and the wife is traveling with him). During Read more the last couple of years, I have utilized my writing and planning skills as a contractor but miss working with children, especially since my own are now older and have their own jobs and school to keep them occupied. I'm currently looking for a part-time opportunity that allows me to engage with children. I can provide a long list of references who can validate my love of and success working with children. I do not mind working weekends and some evenings. My daytime schedule is somewhat more spotty but, when available, I'm all in!
