Hi, I'm Kierra and I'm so excited to meet you! Childhood development has been a passion of mine for years, and a few years ago I transitioned from nannying to teaching so that I could explore all aspects of Child Development. It has certainly been a wonderful experience, however I am looking forward to going back into nannying for families. I have been in childcare for the last 8 years and would describe myself as someone who is reliable, proactive and trustworthy. I believe trust is a very important aspect when it comes to anything related to children. You want the child to be comfortable enough to trust their caregiver along with parents trusting their children will be safe with their caregiver. I'm currently going back to school to expand my education in the medical field, my schedule is open until 5:30pm, Mon-Th and on Fridays I am available all Read more day (including weekends), however I love working with children and cant see myself giving it up! I have worked with children of all ages, although I have more experience working with infants and toddlers. It's just something about the way they learn and apply that knowledge to the real world that fascinates me. I am experienced in the ways of Maria Montessori and Reggio Emilia. Art and music are big favorites of mine because it allows children to express themselves in various ways. Music is also a big way to help children navigate transitions and boosts communication skills and who doesn't love that! While nannying, some of my duties included but were not limited to: light cleaning, meal prepping, homework help, dog sitting and escorting children to appointments and playdates. My favorite part is meal prepping and finding new, fun ways for children to enjoy their food!
