Hi! Let me tell you about my background in childcare. Before I was old enough to get a paying job, I consistently volunteered at a program for children with physical and mental disabilities. Here, we facilitated various fun activities for these children and their siblings. I was a youth rugby head coach for children aged 5-8. I have babysat children of family friends and coworkers with ages ranging from 2-10 years old. Additional duties that I completed during these times were transportation, cooking, and cleaning. I was employed at a school for children in kindergarten through middle school. These children had mental and/ or behavioral disabilities. I was a teachers assistant during the day as well as a solo after-school teacher. During this employment, I was hired by some of the parents to babysit over the weekend and provide to and from school transportation. I was a medic in the Read more Army and worked at a facility that provided pediatric care. I have experience with pediatric primary care, urgent care, and emergency care. I completed 5 years in the military and gained a National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) certification. Every year I was trained on pediatric CPR and choking procedures. Additionally, I currently have 3 dogs of my own and love all animals. I am more than open to assisting with animal care if needed no matter the type or quantity!
