My name is Kaitlyn. I am 24 years of age. I have been a resident in Cumberland County for almost 2 years now. I love being outside and enjoying the sunshine, and exploring my surroundings during the summer. I try my best to cope with the insane humidity. I was a teacher the past two years but decided to take some time off and get back into the classroom myself to learn more about our ever changing education system as I pursue my Master’s Degree with a focus on Special Education. Before teaching I was a seasonal summer camp counselor at an amazing day camp called Camp Iroquois in Upstate New York. Most recently working there my responsibility was to guided and support campers with disabilities so they could have as typical camp experience as their peers. This has by far my favorite job. I connected with some amazing individuals; Read more those being the campers or some of my coworkers. I learned so much about the importance about being patient and understanding each other. I learned that joy can be felt by everyone, even those that follow a different path to the same destination. I lost my self to helping others find that my and excitement of what only Camp Iroquois can offer and found inner happiness. I also find happiness in providing the best childcare I can to families in search of such. I love being outdoors and being creative with crafts. I find it necessary to find a sense of calm through reading a bit each day. Feel free to ask questions on subjects that i forgot to cover in this introduction of myself. I look forward to talking with families that feel I would be a gret fit to work with. As always, be safe and love those around you. Thank you.
