Hi! My name is Cassie, I’m 19, and I live in Durham. I was born in Illinois, but I moved to North Carolina in elementary school and have lived here ever since. Aside from my interests in childcare, I’m passionate about photography and music and I love animals. When I was young, I began working in my church’s Sunday School program taking care of children from newborn to school aged. I also have one younger sibling and two nieces and nephews, aged 1 through 5, who I have played a huge part in taking care of since they were born. Additionally, I have babysat casually throughout the years and was a camp counselor for many years. Being around children brings me joy and I love watching them grow and creating a bond with them. I love creating age appropriate activities for children to aid with their developmental milestones, and I Read more have worked with special needs children who all hold a special place in my heart. I have tons of experience with preparing food and bottles, cleaning, and caring for multiple children at one time. I value reliability and punctuality above all else. I have a calm and laid-back demeanor but an ability to be engaging and lighthearted with children, as well as a pitch-in attitude. I try to go above and beyond whenever possible. Currently I’m seeking a long term full-time nannying position in Durham, and will consider part-time or casual babysitting opportunities as well. I do not have my own car (I’m working towards that), however I rely on public transportation which has been reliable so far. I am not presently certified in CPR and First Aid, however I am happy to get certified if you require. My rates range from $10-15/hr depending on number of children, duties, and schedule.
