Hello! My name is MacKenzie. I have been caring for children of all ages for the past two years, and I absolutely love it! I believe children are our future, and I want to do my part to help them grow, learn, and thrive. I’m patient, calm, and adaptable to different personalities and needs. Open communication with parents is important to me, and I always make sure to keep them informed about their child’s day. I’m also comfortable enforcing household rules and routines and enjoy planning fun and educational activities. Currently, I nanny part-time for a wonderful family with a 3-month-old from 7:00-11:30 am. After that, I work at the college I attend from 12:00-4:30. In the past, I’ve babysat and nannied kids ranging from 3 months to 16 years old (child had special needs). I also have experience working with children from preschool age through high school age as Read more an EC bus monitor, and I’ve coached gymnastics for girls ages 4-7. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and am pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My classes are on Monday and Tuesday evenings this semester, leaving me with flexible availability during the rest of the week in the evenings. My current semester ends on December 12, and I’m hoping to become a full-time nanny after that, whether for one family or helping care for multiple families throughout the day, because I love it so much. I’m also available for occasional evening or afternoon hours and have open availability on weekends. I have reliable transportation and a clean driving record, so I’m comfortable driving children if needed. I’m a non-smoker, hypoallergenic dog-friendly, and cat-friendly. Though I’m not currently CPR certified, I am willing to work towards certification if that is a deal-breaker. Next semester, my schedule will change slightly. I’m currently expecting only one in-person class, which will likely start between 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm every other week, though I’ll know for sure once I register. That semester doesn’t begin until January 13 and will end May 6th with even more flexibility over the summer as I will only be taking 2 evening classes.
