Hi, my name is Jane Shaver Shue! I am 24 years old and a born-and-raised local of Carolina Beach, NC. I have over twelve years of experience working with children in various roles. I began babysitting at 12 and continued throughout high school while also teaching art at summer camps and Vacation Bible Schools. In college, I expanded my childcare experience, spending four summers as a nanny for a family with three children. In the summer of 2020, while working as a nanny, I also launched my own online art school to support families struggling with limited activity options. I provided virtual art classes for K-4 students multiple days a week, offering a creative outlet and structured lessons for children stuck at home. After earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from UNC Charlotte in 2022, I worked as an AuPair in the Virgin Islands for seven months, caring Read more for an infant, a two-year-old, and a seven-year-old. In 2023, I returned to the U.S. to pursue my Master of Arts in Teaching with a specialization in Art Education at UNC Wilmington, graduating in the spring of 2024. I now work full-time as a PreK-8th grade art teacher at a local private school, where I integrate creativity and learning in a structured classroom setting. Overall, my experience ranges from newborns to middle schoolers, and through all these ages I am confident in managing multiple children, planning creative and educational activities, and fostering a nurturing environment. Summer 2025, I am excited to return to summertime childcare, and I would love the opportunity to support your family! Additionally, during the school year, I am available for babysitting on weekends and weekday evenings.
