Hello! My name is Elena but every little I have met calls me, Yaya! I am a mother of five grown children and a young 53 year old to six grands! Since my children and their families all live very far away from North Carolina, I decided that I needed to look for a job that I thoroughly enjoyed and where I could give my heart and my arms to little ones! This is when I learned of Sitter City and Nanny Lane. Early last year, I was hired to care for a two month old little baby boy. When I was hired, the parents had him on a wait list for different schools and when he was a year old, a place opened up. Needless to say, my heart was broken but because we had ended up being more like family, I still enjoy overnights for mom & dad's Read more date nights and occasionally days throughout the months when needed. The downside to caring for little ones. is that we tend to get into one another's hearts and when the time comes for goodbye's, it can be difficult! With that being said, I am excited to apply for this nanny position with your baby! My employment experience comes with a wealth of knowledge, providing crucial childcare. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and was specifically drawn to early childhood development. This had prepared me with an extensive understanding in this area and has given me the necessary tools for improving the childcare experience. From this experience, and from my formal qualifications, I believe that I fit seamlessly with families who have one or many children, with the ability to go above and beyond the expected responsibilities. I am CPR and first aid certified and have excellent references. I look forward to hearing back from you and eventually meeting! Elena (Yaya) Flannery
