Hi! My name is Devon and I am twenty-three. Originally, I am from the Eastern Shore of Maryland where I fell in love with seafood, especially Maryland blue crabs! However, I spent most of my life in North Carolina and now I reside in Brookhaven, Georgia. Brookhaven is awesome and I have really enjoyed exploring the area, going to the aquarium, the botanical gardens, eating at some great restaurants, and shopping at some great vintage clothing stores! I am currently studying to be a Registered Behavior Technician so that I can work with autistic children. I love kids and I am passionate about creating a warm, nurturing, positive, and fun environment while they are in my care! I have three years of experience working at a daycare, where I worked with children of all ages, from newborns to preteens, I also have many years of experience caring for a younger Read more sibling and for my nieces and nephews. While at the daycare I completed many modules on childcare and early childhood education and also became CPR certified. Working in daycare showed me how important play is for children and I love getting on their level and playing with them. I think it is really important to interact with kids and do the things they love to do, not just watch them. I also love doing arts and crafts, which is evident in my hobbies, which include jewelry making, drawing, and painting. am also learning how to do embroidery and want to learn how to crochet. I love anything crafty and love crafting with kids! I also read incessantly and love reading with kids too! Some of my favorites for children are, Where the Wild Things Are; Chicka Chicka Boom Boom; Goodnight Moon; Chrysanthemum, and Madeline, and I would love to be able to read these great stories and many more to your children!
