Hi there! My name is Sara, I'm 37 & I have 8 years of experience and training professional and non professional with children from infancy to pre-teen & truly at my best with little ones. At Childcare Network as a Kindergarten Prep teacher (3.5-4yrs) then after their semesters was then moved to the infant room, from age 6 weeks-12 months as a trained infant teacher. I also worked for the YMCA as a counselor for children in kindergarten-5th grade. I Created a lesson plan every week, in line with state curriculum, including activities to do with the children and a monthly newsletter on what is coming up in the month ahead for parents. Was trained in 1st Aide/CPR, infant Heimlich maneuver, Reinforcement: rules and limits (for toddlers & up) There I assisted infants to develop skills, such as sitting, crawling and walking. Also worked on motor skills, through 1 on Read more 1 play, As a personal nanny: I've spent several years sitting for 4 families, my final 1 long term child until now (started kindergarten). I created a very structured plan/schedule in agreement with parents to followed each day; to include feeding, (bottles & solids) naps, tummy time, outdoor adventures, edu-play, free time, etc.. Kept detailed progress notes of achievements to adjust schedule and new activities to teach by age growth. Assisted with potty training, walking, leg strength training, motor skills & independent play & soothing. Note- Additional job : I clean bottles food and clean the areas in the home(s) we played. Also washed a high chair and load/unload dishwasher. I also hold a bachelor degree in psychology with a minor in child development, which I utilize to guide baby and parents in changes and or possible issues. Each Friday I requested the parents & I meet to discuss child's activities and how well she's doing and to just communicate & check in. A plus not requirement.
