I am from a small town here in Montana. I grew up with a big close nit family and started taking care of siblings and relatives at a very young age. I was 3rd in my immediate family out of 14 total so taking care of younger ones was just a part of life. I started babysitting and then working for an Bitterroot Early Learning Center around 16 years old, working with infants to 12 years of age. When I started college I began working for ASUM child care, where I worked for 5 years with infants to preschool age. I now work for The Source Fitness Center here in Missoula MT as a child care worker part time. Through out all of my life I have worked with various families filling in with babysitting and nannying. While in high school and up to now, I've worked my way from Read more Youth Director to Co-Director of the Ravalli county 4H camps. In this position I teach high school age students how to plan, put on, and work with younger children during the summer 4H camps. Ive been a part of 4H and this program for 9 years now. Aside from child care, I have a degree in Psychology and Social Work. While in school and working for ASUM childcare, I also worked for Western Montana Mental Health Center, as a Crisis Intervention Specialist for a crisis house and an Addictions Specialist for a group home for mothers with addiction and mental illness. I have experience working with children with mental and physical issues from these positions as well assisting and teaching skill building and parenting courses to the mothers. I have always loved working with children and adults alike. That is why social work and nannying for me is perfect! I am CPR/ First Aid certified, as well as Safe Sleep certified.
